NUTRITIONAL GENOMICS INTERPRETATION PROGRAMME

The aim of the Nutritional Genomics Interpretation programme is to provide health and nutrition professionals with the scientific and clinical application knowledge in order to give them confidence to apply nutritional genomics in their practice.

The Nutritional Genomics Interpretation programme is made up of four courses covering the following topics:

  1. Molecular and Personalised Nutritional Genomics
  2. Carbohydrate Behaviours and Lipid Metabolism
  3. Immune Medicated Inflammatory Conditions and Nutrient Sensitivity
  4. Detoxification Oestrogen Balance and Methylation

The Nutritional Genomics Interpretation programme is designed to expand knowledge and clinical application skills. Throughout the programme health and nutrition professionals will be guided through the through a series of:

  • Interactive learning experiences
  • Lectures presented by the programme lead, Dr Eve Pearce PHD (Med)
  • Clinical application case studies from dieticians, functional medicine and nutritionists
  • Quizzes to check knowledge gained (takes approx. 15 minutes to complete)
  • Additional reading including scientific literature
  • And they can always ask a question or talk to peers through the discussion forums

To obtain the higher-level qualification, health and nutrition professionals will be required to complete all four courses and undertake a tutor-based final assessment.
